VIENNA, AUSTRIA – Mark your calendars! International Men's Health Week will be observed worldwide beginning 13 June 2010 through 19 June 2010. Launched in 2002 by representatives from six leading global men’s health organizations at the Second World Congress on Men’s Health in Vienna, Austria, International Men’s Health Week calls attention to the unique health issues of Men throughout our global village and encourages the development of health policies and resources and support services that will effectively address the critical health issues confronting Men throughout our global village.
And what are these critical health issues? Prostate cancer, colon cancer, Alzheimer’s Disease, diabetes, heart disease, strokes, and hypertension.
International Men’s Health Week is supported by a myriad of organizations throughout our global village that include the Men’s Health Network (USA); European Men’s Health Forum (Belgium); International Society for Men’s Health (Austria); Men’s Health Forum England and Wales (United Kingdom); the Men’s Health Forum Scotland (Scotland); and Men’s Health Information and Resource Center (Australia).
