Mrs.  Hollis was joined by Dr. Ameena Ali and Ms. Michele A. Barard.  Information about each of these dynamic women appears below.    Mrs. Geraldine Hollis is a member of the Tougaloo 9, a group of college students who challenged segregation in Mississippi and moved the State of Mississippi into the Civil Rights Movement in the early 1960s.  She is a retired educator from the Oakland Unified School District; counselor; consultant; workshop promoter; a community volunteer; and a deaconess and Youth and Christian Educator Director at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church in Stockton, California, the author of a book, “Back To Mississippi” which chronicles the historic sit-in staged  by the Tougaloo 9 and is the host of “Voices Of Wisdom,” a blog talk radio show aired on the first Thursday of each month by the TRIBE Family Channel™ Network.  


Dr. Ameena Ali is a Cross-Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Instructor; a LinkedIn GoodWill Ambassador; the Atlanta, Georgia (USA) Regional International Men’s Day Coordinator; and founder of  GA Reproductive Resource Alliance Center for Education and Empowerment (GRRACEE) and A Mother’s Peace which is based in Atlanta, Georgia.  Dr. Ali brings empowerment, healing, and key pieces of the puzzle for self-sufficiency and positive  transformation to communities through a number of initiatives which she will talk to us about.        


Michele A. Barard is an Author, blogger; publisher; founder of Urban Book Editor LLC and host of a podcast entitled, “Somewhere In The Middle With Michele Barard” which explores life, love, family, culture, politics, and spirit and airs on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month on the TRIBE Family Channel ™ Network.  Ms. Barard brings a multi-cultural perspective to her literary works,  is the co-author of 20 Beautiful Women, Vol 3 and author of Editing Your Book for Self-Publishing: A Practical Guide for Authors. And under her pen name, Michelle Bishop, she published Love & Other Monsters, a book of poetry examining love from the perspectives of three women at different stages of life.
