As individuals, institutions, and organizations in over 81
nations prepare for the observance of International Men’s Day on 19 November
2017, the USA International Men’s Day Team hosted a National Teleconference on
Community Outreach and Re-Entry on Saturday, 21 October 2017 from 4:00 P.M.
(E.D.T.) through 5:00 P.M. (E.D.T.) courtesy of its sole guest, Ms. Altonya
Sheppard, who is the Founder and CEO of HATT, Corporation (Helping And Teaching
Together). You can listen in on the
conversation that took place at the following link: https://fccdl.in/0rC2MemEU.
'
So
what was on Ms. Sheppard’s mind? Community development, the role of a
Certified Peer Specialist in Re-Entry, addressing underlying factors which
deter our children from learning and create underperforming schools using a
holistic approach, and the need for individuals who have been incarcerated to
undergo a period of “psychological debriefing"!
Through HATT, a community outreach entity, Ms. Sheppard assists
marginalized individuals with obtaining the tools they need to overcome barriers
and realize their full potential through personal development and accessing
requisite resources. Ms. Sheppard’s career in Social and Human Services
has spanned 21 years in the areas of Substance Use Disorders,
Behavioral/Mental Health, Youth & Adult Justice System, Peer Support,
Outreach, Advocacy, Chronic Disease Self-Management, Community Inclusion, and
Life & Personal Development. Sheppard, who holds a Behavioral Health and
Human Services degree from Community College of Philadelphia and certifications
in Peer Support and Community Inclusions, has held numerous positions over the
span of her 21 year career which include, but are not limited to, a Peer
Specialist, HIV Outreach Representative, Substance Use Counselor, Youth
Counselor and Case Manager. She has worked in group homes, outpatient programs,
integrated medical clinics, religious and non-profit organizations, and has
consulted for churches, non-profits, and international institutions and
entities.
Ms. Sheppard is a member
of the American Association of Christian Counselors, Philadelphia Re-Entry
Coalition, and the Philadelphia Community of Leaders.

Highly energetic post, I enjoyed that bit. Will there be a part 2?
Hi there would you mind sharing which blog platform you're working
with? I'm looking to start my own blog in the near future but I'm having a difficult time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design and style seems
different then most blogs and I'm looking for something
unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic
but I had to ask!
I visited several websites except the audio quality for audio songs present at
this web page is genuinely wonderful.
