AMERICAN CANYON, CALIFORNIA (USA) –The United States’ decision to recommit itself to the Paris Agreement coupled with its announcement of intentions to reduce America’s greenhouse gas emissions by between 50% to 52% by Calendar Year 2030 has business leaders, public policy decisionmakers, and mayors and governors scrambling to figure out how the nation can deliver what it has promised. American business leaders, public policy decision makers, mayors and governors may want to check in with Southern California inventor and CEO of Environmental Energy LLC Mr. Kennett Taylor whose patented invention -- “Informational Traffic Light System” (United States Patent Nos. 9,349,289 B1 and 9,520,060) – is a tool that can be utilized to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Mr. Taylor points out that the key to the United States making good on its promise to the global community to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% to 52% by Calendar Year 2020 is mobilization of its citizenry.
“Reducing the United States’ greenhouse gas emissions is simple. It requires the mobilization of citizens
throughout the nation to make one simple change in their behavior. If American citizens make one simple change
in their behavior for one minute each day for 365 days, they will reduce the
nation’s carbon emissions by about
2,255,000 tons in one year. I can help
make that happen. How? I am the owner and inventor of the ‘Informational Traffic Light System’ which
consists of digital messaging signages
mounted on traffic lights which informs citizens that their vehicles emit
carbon deposits and offers the following instruction: Shut
off your car after ten seconds!,” remarked Mr. Taylor.
His concept is supported, in part, by a simple statement issued by the California Energy Commission http://idlefreevt.org/ miscpdf/California%20 Energy%20Commission.pdf): If you're in a drive-through line or waiting, sitting for 10 seconds or longer, turn off your car's engine.”
Mr. Taylor explained how the State of California can play a pivotal role
in moving the nation to mobilize citizens to become proactive participants in
resolving the global climate crisis:
“Traffic light signals throughout the State of California can be transformed into “climate change messaging” centers that help facilitate, en masse, the necessary behavioral change needed to achieve reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Signage assemblage and manufacturing operations that would transform traffic light signals into “climate change messaging’ centers can be housed in one or more of Oakland’s vacant commercial warehouses or on an Oakland Army base. Why Oakland? It is where I spent my formative years. Implementation of my proposal will generate high paying jobs in Oakland and in other cities in California. Doing this would also lift many people out of poverty.”
