NFL HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE BRIAN DAWKINS BRINGS DEPRESSION, SUICIDE, AND MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH TO THE WORLD STAGE

In view of the tireless work the Global and Regional Coordinators for International Men's Day Team have done -- and continue to do -- to raise awareness about depression and suicide in Men and Boys and move individuals, institutions, and organizations throughout our global village to aggressively and effectively address and eradicate the rising suicides rates and causative factors of depression for Men and Boys, I thought everyone would be interested in learning that yesterday evening at the National Football League's Hall Of Fame Induction in Canton, Ohio in the United States, Brian Dawkins -- an inductee into the Hall Of Fame -- utilized the event as a platform to call attention to depression and mental illness.   His speech has been streaming on social media for the past 20-24 hours.

The USA International Men's Day Team will continue its work to raise awareness for the mental health challenges of Men and Boys -- particularly, suicide and depression -- and support and advocate for individuals, organizations, institutions which provide solutions-based mental health resources and support services g specifically tailored for Men and Boys.  We are eternally grateful to Brian Dawkins for being courageous enough to move Men's mental health -- particularly, suicide and depression -- to the world stage.
