USA INTERNATIONAL MEN'S DAY TEAM MOURNS LOSS OF HUMANITARIAN, FORMER UNITED STATES PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, SOCIAL JUSTICE AND CIVIL RIGHTS ACTIVIST MR. DICK GREGORY

A trail blazer in the World of Entertainment, Mr. Dick Gregory was more notably a Humanitarian, a 1968 Presidential Candidate, Social Justice and Civil Rights Activist, and Truth Teller who used his gifts to build bridges . . . to heal . . . to champion justice and truth.   He saw no blurred lines between what was real and what was false . . . between good and evil.  He helped to create certainty in an uncertain world.  We can honor him and perpetuate his legacy by using our gifts to build bridges of understanding, to study history and learn from it, to become the voice for the "voiceless", to defend the "defenseless" -- the most vulnerable among us, to challenge injustice,  to embrace diversity and our connectedness to one another,  and where a vacuum in compassionate leadership exists, fill the void with compassion, solutions-based dialogue and initiatives, truth, and work tirelessly to create certain in an uncertain world.
