MEN’S ISSUES THOUGHT LEADER, BEST-SELLING AUTHOR AND CREATOR OF THE “MANHOOD MODEL” MR. CHRIS CANNON TO LAUNCH USA INTERNATIONAL MEN’S DAY OBSERVANCE ON 7 NOVEMBER 2015

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (USA) -- 5 November 2015 -- Men’s Issues Thought Leader, best-selling author, and architect of the “Manhood Model” (www.manhoodmodel.com) Mr.  Chris Cannon  will launch the United States observance of 2015 International Men’s Day beginning on Saturday, 7 November 2015 through the presentation of a “Manhood Model Webinar” . The “Manhood Model” Webinar will be moderated by Mr. Cannon beginning at 3:00 P.M. United States (New York) Time through 4:00 P.M. United States (New York) Time on Saturday, 7 November 2015 at the following link: 2015.ManhoodModel.com.

Through the “Manhood Model”, Mr. Cannon is helping the 3,477,829,538 souls who are Men throughout our global village sift through the mixed signals about masculinity, their roles and responsibilities in our families and communities, and the rules of engagement for courtship and marriage which they constantly receive from mainstream media, television sitcoms, film, music videos, and even from the souls who profess to love them.

“Men in the Millennium are embarking on a journey to find their genuine selves. They yearn to live purpose-driven lives. We have 3,477,829,538 Men throughout our global village who at any given time or any given day are taking a long look in the proverbial mirror and asking the reflection that stares back at them: ‘Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going in life?’ This year’s theme for International Men’s Day is: ‘Making A Difference For Men and Boys’. If we are truly serious about making a difference in the lives of Men and Boys, we are duty bound to help them find their identity, discover their purpose, and provide them with a sense of direction. The Manhood Model will help Men and Boys do exactly that. Helping Men and Boys live purposeful and fulfilling lives empowers and enriches our families and our communities. Rolling out the ‘Manhood Model’ webinar as part of the launch of the United States’ celebration of 2015 International Men’s Day on Saturday, 7 November 2015 is a beginning and not an ending. We will design and implement initiatives each month over the course of the next twelve months that help to address and resolves the obstacles that make it extremely difficult – if not impossible for Men and Boys to be successful, productive, and purpose-driven souls,” remarked Mr. Cannon.

DRAWING A STRAIGHT LINE TO RECIDIVISM, SUSTAINABILITY, AND RENEWED PROSPERITY IN PHILADELPHIA

Heralded by many as the “Next Great American City”, the fifth largest metropolitan area in the United States, the City of Philadelphia is on the move.  Real estate developers are transforming an area between Market and Chestnut Streets spanning from 11th to 12th Streets once considered the epicenter of Philadelphia into East Market, a towering and expansive structure which will be home to residential units, restaurants, retail outlets, and office space. Looking westward, a cluster of gleaming glass and steel skyscrapers which rise above the end of the Walnut Street Bridge and which appear to obfuscate the line of demarcation between the City of Philadelphia’s downtown business district, University City, and the neighborhoods surrounding Drexel University and the University of Pennsylvania come into view .. These developments are helping to create excitement about Philadelphia. Despite the perceived “renewed prosperity” of Philadelphia’s downtown business district an…

SEEING INVISIBLE MEN AND BOYS: JEROME TEELUCKSINGH, Ph.D.

On 19 November 2015, a panel discussion was held at the Student Activity Center at The University of the West Indies, in Trinidad and Tobago (in the Caribbean). It was spearheaded by an undergraduate female student, Ms. Michelle Roopnarine, and featured Dr. John Gedeon of the University's Office of Planning and Development; Ramia Coleman, the Chairman of the all-male Hall of Residence on campus; and Jonathan St. Louis-Nahous, the Guild of Students' Representative for Part-time and Evening Students. The panel successfully generated some interest and lively discussion among a cross-section of students on campus and across faculties. During the past five years, similar small scale observances have been held on campus. Despite this recognition many students and members of the public are still unaware of the existence of International Men’s Day.
From 1999, International Men’s Day was tailored and revamped to continue building the global Men’s Movement and promote an ideology that…
