In 2013, Mr. Sami' has designed an emotional literacy model for boys for International Men's Day which will be celebrated under the theme, “Keeping Men and Boys Safe” in over 70 nations on Tuesday, 19 November 2013. The emotional literacy model designed by Mr. Sami' will help to resolve the issues of violence, education, mental health, Fatherhood, and positive male role models which have been identified by Global and Regional Coordinators for International Men's Day as critical issues that confront Boys and Men, threaten their safety, and prevent them from living longer, happier, and healthier lives.
“The International Men's Day Global and Regional Coordinators have connected the dots between helping to keep Men and Boys safe and our ability to create a better and safer world for everyone. My work with boys and young adolescent males which spans nearly two decades is in alignment with the mission of the Global and Regional Coordinators for International Men's Day. The emotional literacy model that I have designed provides boys and young male adolescents with the tools they need to resolve self-esteem, anger management, and self-motivation issues,” explained Mr. Sami' when reached for comment.
