PROSTATE CANCER LECTURE ON 8 JUNE 2013 KICKS OFF PHILADELPHIA'S OBSERVANCE OF INTERNATIONAL MEN'S HEALTH WEEK
PHILADELPHIA, PA (USA) – 17 May 2013 – The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) estimates that in 2013, 238,590 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer and that approximately 29,720 men will succumb to the disease. Although prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States, approximately 2.5 million American men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer are still alive. Yet, African American men, according to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (www.pcf.org) have the highest rate of prostate cancer incidence in the world.
