DAPHNE'S NEW DAY RADIO SHOW EXPLORES 2011 INTERNATIONAL MEN'S DAY ON 10/26/2011 AT 11:30 A.M.

Why are Men and Women from over 50 nations around the world working in a spirit of collaboration to improve the manner in which five (5) key challenges that seriously affect the ability of boys and young adolescent males -- Our Sons -- and the Next Generation of Fathers and Husbands -- to mature into purpose-driven, successful, and productive Men are effectively addressed and resolved? What are these five (5) key challenges? Is there a "Global Crisis of Boys"?

You'll find the answers to these and other questions when you tune in to Daphne's New Day Radio Show on Wednesday, 26 October 2011 beginning at 11:30 A.M. which is hosted by Dr. Daphne Hudson Clark at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/daphne-clarke-hudson/2011/10/26/tdb. Dr. Clarke-Hudson will take a look at 2011 International Men's Day which will be celebrated in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia on Saturday, 19 November 2011 under the theme "Giving Boys The Best Possible Start In Life". Dr. Clarke-Hudson will be speaking with Cathleen Williams, Esquire, the New York (USA) Regional Co-Coordinator for 2011 International Men's and Diane A. Sears, the United States Coordinator for 2011 International Men's Day and a member of the International Men's Day Coordination Committee where she represents the United States of America.

International Men's Day (www.international-mens-day) was founded in November 1999 by Jerome Teelucksingh, Ph.D., Chairman of the International Men's Day Coordination Committee, a Global Think Tank; faculty member in the History Department of the University of West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago; author; and humanitarian. It shares a 48-hour partnership with Universal Children's Day which is endorsed by the United Nations and celebrated worldwide on 20 November 2011.

A global grassroots movement, International Men's Day honors and celebrates the sacrifices that men -- every day men -- make to our families, our communities, and our world. The mission of International Men's Day is embodied in its six (6) Core Objectives which were established in 1999 by its founder, Jerome Teelucksingh, Ph.D.

The six (6) Core Objectives of International Men's Day are:

• To promote positive male role models; not just movie stars and sports men but everyday, working class men who are living decent, honest lives.
• To celebrate men’s positive contributions to society, community, family, marriage, childcare, and to the environment.
• To focus on men’s health and wellbeing; social, emotional, physical and spiritual.
• To highlight discrimination against men; in areas of social services, social attitudes and expectations, and law.
• To improve gender relations and promote gender equality.
• To create a safer, better world; where people can be safe and grow to reach their full potential.
