RICHMOND, VIRGINIA (USA)18 October 2011 -- It is dynamic! It is empowering! “Men Of Tomorrow: Rite of Passage Mentorship Program” is a dynamic and empowering initiative that is being launched by Richmond, Virginia’s New Deliverance Evangelistic Church (www.ndec.net) under the leadership of BISHOP GERALD O. GLENN , and the organization of MINISTER THOMAS POWELL in observance of 2011 International Men’s Day (www.international-mens-day.com) which is being celebrated in over 50 nations around the world under the theme “Giving Boys The Best Possible Start In Life”. The “Men of Tomorrow: Rite of Passage Mentorship Program” will also be the subject of a documentary produced and directed by MRS. ODETTA WRIGHT, the Virginia (USA) Regional Coordinator for 2011 International Men’s Day, actress, playwright, film producer, and Co-Founder of Father Figure Enterprises, LLC (www.fatherfigure.org).

“The ‘Men Of Tomorrow: Rite of Passage Mentorship Program’ initiative is designed to give boys and young adolescent males between the ages of 11 through 17 in the City of Richmond the ‘best possible start in life’ through workshops and courses that include, among other things, entrepreneurship, biblical studies, scholastic achievement, leadership, and public speaking. The young men that participate in our initiative will learn, as an example, team building skills – a valuable skill that will help them become better students and an invaluable asset to their communities, their families, and our world. The ‘Men Of Tomorrow: Rite of Passage Mentorship Program’ is on a mission to move our boys and young adolescent males – our Sons and the Next Generation of Fathers, Husbands, and Leaders to ‘do more, want more, and be more’. We are very excited about the commencement of the Men of Tomorrow: Rite of Passage Mentorship Program “Grand Induction Ceremony” on Wednesday, 19 October 2011 at 7:30 at New Deliverance Evangelistic Church, 1701 Turner Rd, Richmond, VA, and the launch of our initiative on Saturday, 19 November 2011 – International Men’s Day; our participation in 2011 International Men’s Day’ and our partnership with a member of the 2011 International Men’s Day Global Team – Mrs. Odetta Wright, who is the Virginia (USA) Regional Coordinator for 2011 International Men’s Day,” explained Minister Powell.

“ ‘The Men Of Tomorrow: Rite of Passage Mentorship Program’ initiative is a powerful concept that will help boys and young adolescent males throughout the City of Richmond mature into spiritually grounded, purpose-driven, successful, and productive adults and its mission is in alignment with the theme of 2011 International Men’s Day – ‘Giving Boys The Best Possible Start In Life’. I am honored that Minister Powell accepted my invitation to participate in 2011 International Men’s Day and that he selected International Men’s Day as the day to launch this initiative which will positively transform the lives of the boys and young adolescent males who participate in the initiative and the communities in which they live. The partnership between ‘The Men Of Tomorrow: Rite of Passage Mentorship Program’ and 2011 International Men’s Day will also result in the production of a documentary film that explores the implementation of an initiative that is being viewed by many as a global model for ‘Giving Boys The Best Possible Start In Life’,” remarked Mrs. Odetta Wright.
