What is it like to be a Man in the Millennium? Is there a Code of Conduct for Men? How does a Man make his way in a world that, to a certain extent, takes him for granted? What are the essential tools that a Man needs to have in order to successfully navigate the world outside of his immediate environment?

Why am I asking these questions? Well, these are not my questions. The questions that I have posed represent a sample of the questions that Men from all Walks of Life throughout our global village have been wrestling with for quite some time. Men are being bombarded with mixed signals about how to be a man, a lover, a husband and a father from society, mainstream media, and even from the women in their lives. Is it any wonder that some Men are confused and have doubts about their self worth?

American national and physicist DR. THOMAS FINK is on a mission to bring to a halt the marginalization of men and to provide Men with answers to their questions about their roles and responsibilities in the 21st Century through his groundbreaking book, THE MAN’S BOOK. DR. FINK, who is a provides Men with key “pieces of the puzzle” to successfully navigating the world outside of their immediate environment. THE MAN’S BOOK consists of 87 chapters which explores in a “straight-no-chaser” fashion, the topics of, among other things, health; sports and game; women; dress; the outdoors; drinking; smoking; cooking; “idling”; arts and sciences; international days; and astronomical events.

As an example, in Chapter 81 of THE MAN’S BOOK, DR. FINK who was born in Plattsburgh, New York and is a Lecturer at Centre national de la recherche scientifique (The National Center for Scientific Research) – the largest fundamental science agency in Europe which is located in Paris, France -- and a Fellow at the London Institute for Mathematical Sciences, sets out Rules To Live By for Men. He offers, what is categorized as “four famous guides to character selected from the four last centuries”. One of these“four famous guides to character” comes in the form of Charles I, King of England whose tenure as Great Britain’s monarch began in 1625 and ended with his execution in
1649. The late King Charles I has been credited with creating the following Rules Of Conduct for Men:

• Urge no healths
• Profane no divine ordinances
• Touch no state matters
• Reveal no secrets
• Pick no quarrels
• Make no comparisions
• Maintain no ill opinions
• Keep no bad company
• Encourage no vice
• Make no long meals
• Repent no grievances
• Lay no wagers

THE MAN’S BOOK is a powerful literary work that our sons and Single Mothers who are raising young boys desperately need. And THE MAN’S BOOK is recommended reading for Men, Fathers, educators, social services professionals and providers, health care professionals and providers, legal professionals, Fatherhood Practitioners, and Fathers’ Rights Advocates.
